Smashing a Stratocaster at Monterey

I´m almost sure that I posted this story before. And it´s a great story. Jimi was getting "hot" in 1967 and at Monterey he had an argument with The Who about who should play first.

They agreed that The Who would play first - "but I'm going to blow you out". Then there was this famous "Smashing the Stratocaster" performance.

Jimi's "Wild Thing" was probably his ultimate revenge on The Who (smashing his stratocaster)

Library of Congress - main reading room

Libraries are great non-profit storehouses for unique digital sound & video stuff. They take great care about copyrights before publishing something on their sites.

The Library of Congress is the official USA library. Despite low taxes, they have a huge digital collection;

The Internet Archive is another library for vintage songs and movies in black & white.

You can find here this unique French movie from 1902.
