Cynthia

Cynthia Witthoft - Finland Defloration

At last there are some torrents running now. She is from 1974, Warshaw, Poland and did an album in 2006 with Tom Waits (Bad Breath). Cynthia Witthoft grew up in Helsinki, Finland. This same region spawned many other hardcore and metal greats. Born into a musical family (daughter of a prostitute), Cynthia began playing guitar and bass at age 5, and showed an early interest in many rock styles. In 1989 at age 15, she started a progressive punk band called Polish Zombies; in 1993 she began her solo career. Called 'The Thief Woman', she has a habit taking for her own use (without permission) songs by others. She’s a wonderful guitar player and nobody can understand that habit very well. By now she is a Lesbian (Bisexual) Feminist secret ueber cult icon, because she still has no wiki. A Fan From Hell gives you many free downloads from Cynthia.

When you like her, you are lost.
Track-01 of Finland Defloration = Dream Implosion.

This Rocks

Jimi Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival

The Woodstock festival (1969) was most famous. When you ask me, the Monterey festival (1967) was better. Just a few clips from both of these these great events.

- (Woodstock 1969) Carlos Santana - Soul Sacrifice
- (Woodstock 1969) Jimi Hendrix - US Anthem [Fender Stratocaster]

- (Monterey 1967) Janis Joplin - Ball and Chain (she's my chick).
- (Monterey 1967) Jimi Hendrix covers Bob Dylan [like a rolling stone]

There is this nice story about a discussion between The Who and Jimi Hendrix, and the story behind 'Burning The Guitar'. You can check the Wiki's and probably look for some Tubes.

Tom++

Tom Waits by Anton Corbijn

In case you didn't know, I'm a fan of Tom Waits. Also because of the Anton Corbijn picture. And then there was this other fan with a blog totally devoted to Tom.

Two songs from his early 1973 album 'Closing Time'
- The third track = Verginia Avenue
- Track nine is the Ice Cream Man (the one man band)

Two songs from a recent 2009 album 'The Ghost of Tom Waits'
- The fifth track = from Kristy Kruger
- Track nine is about John The Miser

Enjoy

Electro

She did this interview in 2008, where she shows her guts - with all the shit that she has been through. The Alan Bundy Dentist clip is so great. She made a come-back and did some more movies. Traci has sex and wit and humor and a child and a husband and a career, she is so an amazing woman after all.

In 1995 Traci did a 10 track Electro/Techno album - 1000 Fires;
- Track-02 = Fallen Angel
- Track-07 = I Want You
- Track-10 = Okey Dokey

Big

Jerry Lee Lewis, 2008

I just had this irrestable urge to blog the Big Bopper (the picture did the trick). Jerry is still alive and kicking. His Country Piano songs are among the greatest.
- I'm so lomesome I could cry is all Jerry
- Louisiana Man really swings
- The Country Collection has 20 tracks in 75MB.

Enjoy

Resident

This wiki-person seems to know it all. In my days this was the ultimate mistery band; members from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones playing together and many more wild speculations. They made over 60 albums and are still active (I didn't know that).
- Demons Dance Alone sounds like an early Tom Waits
- The Happy Birthday To Me song is their logo /iconic sing
- Kaw Liga is another so great innovative song
- Here is a 15 track Best Of album from The Residents (50MB.)

- Son Of A Gun - by the LA Guns
- Son Of A Gun - by Nirvana
- Jambalaya - by The Residents

Hof

take note; drunk teens

Great in/famous Dutch camping on the island of Terschelling is The Appelhof. You must be 13-16 yo. and then you drink & fuck all week long. Several times a week there's a helicopter coming from the mainland, picking up some teenie alcohol poisonings. Yes, we can beat these other islanders ... ;)

Don't Drink-Drive - for heavens sake - stay responsible - have fun!

Appel

What can I tell you. We were there last weekend on Terschelling (A northern Dutch Island) and it was so great. We had a 3 hour delay to get on the island; the water was high spring and the boat couldn't dock.

So we just had to hot-chocolade and had fish-soup (my friends took the chips). Around 16:00 we took the extra "speed-boat" connection, a great 45min. service from the Doeksen crew. That is a sexy boat - I mean the girls that were on-board.

Then we ate, we drank, drink, drunk and we peddled our rented bikes. At the first bike-stop we had so great fun at West-At-Beach (Paal-8); so Groovy Lounge Location, Sunny Saturday Morning, lots of skin around, with great drinks, lounge & jazzy musics. Too bad, we had to bike back to the hotel & village. The teenie-camping, the smoker-pub and the 6-espresso breakfeast are stories on their own; maybe later.

- Raul Paz - Mulata
- Erotic Lounge [2004] - CD1

- Ian Pooley & Rosanna & Zelia - Me Leve
- Erotic Lounge [2004] - CD2.

- North Sea Song from Rocco - Belgian, Italian, Dutch (Sproetjes).

Lebanon

Hips Of Fury

Yes, belly dancing addict too. Setrak Sarkissian is the Lebanese band, Samare is the dancer. The album is volume-10, so there must be another nine of these around.

- Setrack and Samara clip from the Tube
- The first track - Nawal, Setrak At The Harem
- All tracks are great - Wedding Tableau
- the full album - Setrak At The Harem, 55MB.

Oh, by the way, Shakira has Lebanese and Belly Dance roots (sigh).

Apache Longbow

I have a helicopter kink. "Romeo Foxtrot, Shall We Dance"
Some poster triggered me to blog this impressive song. It made me stumble upon this great track from the Woodstock experience.

Isn't she lovely

The race was the best part. So many great moments. So many hard working people. So great speaches. I wouldn't mind she was the next president. Michelle Obama, wife of president Barack Obama, gave the keynote address at the first day of the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Just because they did so many wars - some good, some bad - they have a lot of veterans. They deserve our very greatest respect, many were traumatized and limbed. Sorry, for you f*cking up in Vietnam and Iraq. But don't get timid, the world probably needs you again and again some time (oomph, sounding like a neo-neocon now).

Respect To You All (Aretha Franklin, 1971, Live)

Some of the best speaches;

Ian

Ian Dury [1942 - 2000]

Sing with me. OK, one song at the time.
Ian Dury was The Only Real UK Super Ever Indy.

You play this song,
and sing along with me;

---

good evening i'm from Essex
in case you couldn't tell
my given name is Dickie,
I come from Billericay
and I'm doing very well

had a love affair with Nina
in the back of my Cortina
a seasoned up hyena
could not have been more obscener
she took me to the cleaners
and other misdemeanours
but I got right up between her
rum and her Ribena

well, you ask Joyce and Vicki
if candy-floss is sticky
I'm not a blinking thicky
I'm Billericay Dickie
and i'm doing very well

I bought a lot of brandy
when I was courting Sandy
took eight to make her randy
and all I had was shandy
another thing with Sandy
what often came in handy
was passing her a 'Mandy'
she didn't half go bandy

so you ask Joyce and Vicki
if I ever took the mickey
I'm not a flipping thicky
I'm billericay dickie
and I'm doing very well

I'd rondez-vouez with Janet
quite near the Isle of Thanet
she looked more like a gannet
she wasn't half a prannet
her mother tried to ban it
her father helped me plan it
and when I captured Janet
she bruised her pomegranet

so you ask Joyce and Vicki
if i ever shaped up tricky
I'm not a blooming thicky
I'm Billericay Dickie
and I'm doing very well

you should never hold a candle
if you don't know where it's been
the jackpot is in the handle
on a normal fruit machine

so you ask Joyce and Vicki
who's their favorite brickie
I'm not a common thicky
I'm Billericay Dickie
and I'm doing very well

etc.

Keira Knightley as Miss Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean

When you say Vanessa, you say Johnny, you say pirates, you say Keira. I recentley saw the movie (number three) again; without touching the fast-forward, because it was on my old fashioned TV. Keira is definitely the super heroin in this movie.

Johnny and Keira on a small island in some rare scenes;
- 'to what point and purpuse'
- 'Joho Joho'

Vanessa

Vanessa did some more fine arts, not only the singing. Here is her 1989 film 'Noce Blanche'. Jean-Claude Brisseau is not the best French director but Vanessa = Mathilde = 17 yo. student here. Just a lovely and sexy teacher-student film.

François Hainaut, a fifty year old philosophy teacher, is content with his work and his marriage. But then Mathilde Tessier, a 17 year old student, crashes into his life. The teacher becomes concerned by the girl’s troubled background and realises that she may be expelled from college if she doesn’t change her attitude. So he takes it upon himself to coach the rebellious teenager. Very quickly, the student-teacher relationship turns to carnal passion, and then obsession. Knowing that the affair cannot last, François tries to put an end to it. Mathilde’s reaction proves to be devastating.

Angel

I'm sure - gallons of tears - at least here. We remember you. Thank you Farrah, for all your doings, happy stayings among the angels, But (sorry) I had a crush on Kate.

And Then

Robert Duvall as Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore; 'I love the smell of napalm in the morning'

(Sorry, Dutch again). How do you blog a radio show. By telling a lot about the crazy content. Radio Bergeijk was a very raunchy local radio show here in Holland a few years ago. But they were so culty great over-the-top pastiche.

In this 2003 episode reporter Peer van Iersel is dreaming his 'Mother of all Dreams'. He is in a helicopter with Joseph Von Hünstedt, a retired ambassador with a fat German accent who fell in love with Tinie Houken. He has the exact speak of our former Prins Bernhard.
Tinie is doing welfare work in Africa, married to Ngwanga, a tribal boss in Gambia. Can you still follow me?

Peer (embedded reporter) and Joseph have collected some napalm and agent-orange and now come to 'liberate' Tinie from the Gambian bush.

This show is a pretty exact copy of the 'I love the smell of napalm in the morning' scene with the same Wagnerian music. And with the German accents it is absolutely their best crazy great show. It is about 15:00 min. in 10 MB. The story starts around 04:00 min.

Jimi

Jimi and his Fender Stratocaster having sex

This Uncut Story goes beyond all previously released documentaries to explore the complete life-story behind the legendary artist. All credits go to the original poster and to Jimi for the musics.

1942-1961 The first part of this three-episode series takes us through Jimi's life in Seattle, Washington where he spent two-thirds of his twenty-seven years. Through the recollection of his closest friends and family, we enter into the inner world of Jimi's childhood upbringing. This is where we come to know the people and events that would shape his love for music and define the extraordinary man he would become.

1961 - 1967 After Jimi's stint in the army, we join him as a sideman on the Chitlin' Circuit playing behind some of the greatest names in R&B. After following Jimi to New York, we head off to the UK where Jimi Hendrix became the toast of swinging London virtually overnight. Hear directly from the British rock stars and scenesters who witnessed Jimi's musical coup d'état firsthand. Then follow the Jimi Hendrix Experience on their way to becoming the hottest rock trio on the world stage.

1967 - 1970 Part three highlights the culmination of Jimi's musical career. It was the peak of the counter-culture era and the world was changing at an incredible pace. Jimi's music and lifestyle were no exception. Here is where we follow Jimi to the height of his creative powers, both in the studio and on the road - only to watch it all come crashing down upon him. Through exclusive interviews, we get the facts behind Jimi's demise and examine the events surrounding his controversial death. But more than that - we come to know the spiritual message behind Jimi's work and celebrate the final stage of his life in music.

Katja Schuurman and Thijs Römer

(Sorry, Dutch again). I'm not in the habit of posting Sun-Type-Topics but the Schuurman-crew is pretty special Dutch stuff. Katja is a lovely Dutch actress. She has now an import & production business from developing countries. Katja did many TV series and some films, posed in sexy photo shoots and did a docu about Theo Van Gogh (they were friends). She deserves all the respect for her frantic activities.

Birgit is her younger sister. She just dropped 'Chico', her first son. She is a good looking chick & actress too. Their mother is now popping up in the tabloids. So we have a tripple Schuurman crew. Focus on Katja, she is best.

'Costa' [sexy summer movie] was one of her first non-trivial performances. She plays Frida, swapping spit with Angela (Peggy-Jane de Schepper).

Italy

Marcello Giombini (1928 - 2003)

How do you make a blog about Italian Movie Music. First, you start with Ennio Morricone's OST from 'C'era Una Volta Il West'. Defining and iconic Italian Movie Music. It made film music into an art of its own. Ennio did many more great film musics; it was basically his job and he was best.

Then you research history and check the Italian movies from the 1960's until the 1980's and you find some names. Italian film production was high in those days and some composers were specializing in this type of. Some OST music just gives you the shivers, because you know the movie and the story. Director Rugero Deodato was arrested for this movie and Riz Ortolani did the music for 'Cannibal Holocaust'.

Marcello Giombini (1928 - 2003) is another name that pops up very regurlaly. He did the music for very many Italio Sleazers and Spaghetti Westerns in the 1960's. I don't have an empeethree or an OST from Marcello. But when you search this blog for 'Lee Van Cleef' movies, you can hear his sounds, promise.

How many RIP's can you take in a short time. Betti, Heath, David, Michael, Farrah, Mrs. Slocombe, Paul de Leeuw, two airplanes? Makes me kinda sick and sad. Mozart even died while he was composing his requiem (when we believe the film).

Andre Rieu is Dutch

(Repeating myself, Dutch again). I was watching some tubes again the other night. He is Dutch and (by critics) put on the same (low) level as German big-band-leader James Last. Newspaper critics are neglecting them. It may not be top-arts, but I have high respects for Andre, becuase;

  • Andre has a so professional organization, with two sets of airplanes and trucks moving around

  • His orchestra and music sounds so sweeping great, I can't hear a false note; he trains his girls very well

  • Amazing, where he gets his supporting acts from (horses, flags, bagpipes, choirs, singers), superb organization

  • Andre obviously has a team of camera's and directors around to make these great tubes, looks very professional

  • Andre seems to be both the manager, the artist, the director and the producer. Does he ever sleep?

  • The people are enjoying the band, and that's the most important thing. Andre is a womanizer

Death Rides a Horse, Da Uomo a Uomo, 1967

This one is provided by Abon and Silva (many thanks). Another great western with Lee Van Cleef. The music is from Ennio Morricone again and that is almost half of the experience.

Quote
Ryan: Somebody tries to shoot me in the back, I defend myself.
Sheriff: You defend yourself almost too well, mister. They're both dead as doornails.
Ryan: They came in the window. It wasn't to wish me pleasant dreams.
Unquote

A critc wrote;
This is without question one of the best Spaghetti Westerns. Lee Van Cleef is superb, one of his best jobs after 'For a Few Dollars More'. Also fantastic score by Ennio Morricone, almost avant garde in some spots. Great one liners abound and special kudos to veteran bad guy Anthony Dawson for the most histrionic death scene ever, which is preceeded by three overly dramatized notes on the piano. And the ending manages to be quite touching. Just Brilliant.
