I am a fan of serial-director Takashi Miike. I have now multi-tens of his movies, but you can't get up with his production scheme. Maybe we should make a special Miike blog.

Miike is friendly with Quentin Tarantino, Eli (Hostel) Roth and Robert (Sin City) Rodriguez.

They sometimes have small roles in each others movies. Miike, though, has a very personal (non-)style of his own. His movies are always from a different planet - several planets. The Yakuza theme is dominant in his work (Ichi-The-Killer has cult status), but he also did children's movies.

Miike's 2006 Big Bang Love hit me for it's visual camera-work and the innovative gay erotica. You have to Google-Wiki-Tube (GWT) if you want more information about this movie.
