I had some chat this weekend with an iPal about Texas and 18-wheelers. I just realized (sorry, a bit late) that they must drive for 1000's of miles while we in Urp will do with a few 100's. It makes me longing for road-movies and road-songs. But there were already so many on this blog.

This is probably the one and only Dutch trucker song, It is great and I didn't blogged before. You can look at it as silly Dutch culture (that is the normal attitude) or as a semi-culty expression of Dutch arts (which I am inclined to).

Oh My Gawd, why am I blogging Paris Hilton? I have to come up with a really good excuse to get my T-hormones under control.

Perez Hilton is a writing LA super paparazzi (with an accent on the 'writing'). He is close with the rich & famous and has many nice scoops and stories. It's a great site for your Monday morning wake up. Perez has probably all the looks and wits to extracts these nice stories. Maybe I make him a favorite on my blog.

The Paris movie is about her sexiest footage and all other of her special doings (R & X rated). I just give you the link here . I'm sure you can find out the rest for yourself.

GC is wanted on many music festivals

I was tricked by her age. She was a sweet sixteen when she did her first album and I expected some nice poppy songs again on her second album. But this is an Australian girl with different standards. She may well be the next Mad-Ga-Ga.

Yesterday she signed her second album here in Amsterdam for her fans. Pretty fat disco sounds, inspired by the 1970's. There were articles and PR interviews in the papers here, about her very first full-house performances at Paradiso and Glastonbury. She already speculated about her third album – New Orleans country & piano sounds.

I still give her the benefit of the doubt. Very promising sounds, but she needs to find a style of her own. I said that two years ago and it still stands.

New

New Japanese Gore (NJG). The chainsaws only stop when they are cluttered with too many guts. I posted some of this stuff before just for the hilarious fun. When you are into New Japanese Gore this is a special movie for you.

I just found this strange and arty 45 min. movie that looks like nothing else done before. It is a sort of TMO (the-making-of). It is also a kind of documentary. It has scenes from the movie, it has original scenes, it is visually attractive, language and subtitles are virtually absent, special effects are nice, a piece of art on its own.
And it is all about the 2008 movie 'Tokyo Gore Police' (TGP).

This art house type of docu gives you some deeper insight (by means of art) in the visual grammar of New Japanese Gore. The Slasher genre is lifted to a higher level. And (cinematographically speaking) it is all 'tastefully' done with high production standards.

Correction: The only 'deeper insight' is that these people are fully devoted into making great gory movies and having a lot of fun in the process.

The special effects look quite simple but effective and innovative (and are really over the top); fountains of blood, so you need an umbrella (literally), heads, faces and limbs are cut off (vertically and horizontally) with chainsaws and nasty sharp Japanese swords. The blood-splattering on the camera-lens was new to me.

Another feature of these movies is the tormented-woman-avenger. Women are still the victims (in the beginning) but then take their revenge in an overwhelming way.

It's like Junk Food; it's not very healthy, but you can swallow a Jess Franco a week. Among his 160+ movie pile of shit it's getting harder each time to find some nice ones.

Here is a nice one that was new to me .

Vampyros Lesbos (1971) is located (first) in the Istanbul Hilton and (then) in the Greek Turkish region of the island of Lesbos.
Jess Franco skillfully exploits the free sex and psychedelic hippy themes in those years. VL is one of his better known movies.
It delivers what the title promises; lots of skin and kinky, horror lesbian sex.

Linda is a young American lawyer, working in a law office in Istanbul. During the night, she has passionate dreams in which a sexy brunette harasses, and makes love to her, from which she's unable to defend herself. A minor case about an inheritance forces her to travel to one of the small islands off the Turkish coast (could be Lesbos).
Then, her nightmares come upon her in a real lively manner.

Another fine specimen of recent sleaze (Vatican Bashing).
The poster, imdb, title, trailer (PITT) will do for normal people.
But the 3.0 rating made me curious.

The Catholic Community always had its dark corners from the Borgia popes onward. Dan Brown told the story about Opus Dei, The Exorcist was a famous mainstream movie and Nunsploitation is a renowned niche kink genre in its own right.

I'm sure you can (as an educated adult) separate reality from fantasy. Really shocking are the recent reports about Catholic child abuse that are popping up all over the world now. I may have some victims in my social network that I don't know of.

We need a lot more of Vatican Bashing.

It's such a lovely tradition, the night before the Oscars. Sandra Bullock came in her own person to pick up her Razzie (Golden Raspberry, worst movie awards 2010).

Paul 'Robocop' Verhoeven was the first one to show up in his person for his 1995 Showgirls movie. It should be a Shame-On-You but it is of such greatness that these people show up in person and even make a witty speech.

Ellen is actually a performster, not a singster

Ellen ten Damme is a Dutch multi-talented actress, singer & performer. She is near-celeb because she is a hard-to-corner and serious professional with few connections to the paparazzi (the hallmark of all Dutch near-celebs).

She can be very raunchy but she is always very classy. Ellen is straight, honest, confused, sexy, humorous and hot in these tubes. Look further for more Ellen-Fun.

She is doing her thing now for some years and still is grossly underestimated here in the Netherlands. I made some pre-boom predictions on this blog (of which 30% came thru) hyping some kids before they were well-known. I wish I could do that for Ellen, but I'm afraid she is too professional to be hyped.

Yes, you can compare Ellen with Lady Gaga. The major difference is that Ellen is much more direct and explicit in her songs & texts. The German title of the second tube ("Plattgefickt") translates somewhere into "Fucked Silly" or "Plat Geneukt" in Dutch.

Jess (Jesus) Franco (1930) is a serial director from Spain.
He is one of the greatest 'Sultans of Sleaze'; a handful of in/famous Euro Trash (ET) directors from the 1970's and 1980's, often from Italy and Spain. My previous 'Eurotica' documentary has the full story.

You should notice that 80 yo. Jess Franco made over a 160 movies and still is an active director today. When you scan the titles on imdb, he must be a terminal adolescent – he is my hero.

Erwin C. Dietrich was his Swiss producer for many years and Lina Romay was his muse and his later wife. You can find their names splattered all over my blog.

Jess Franco's "Mansion of the Living Dead" (1985) takes horror to the extreme. When four waitresses embark on a vacation in the Canary Islands, their idea of relaxing includes a host of kinky pleasures. The series shows many clips of all of the in/famous ET movies and also has many background interviews (about 30 years later) with all of the famous ET directors and actresses.

In 1974, French pron laws were abolished and then the show was on.
A lovely must-have series for all ET & Kink lovers.

Monica Swinn is the only relation with this blog

I am still in Bad Taste mode. Here is another great WIP-flick (Women in Prison). A standard WIP is about sexual abuse and violence in an Asian Rain Forrest (ARF) setting or on a South American Island (SAI).

The WIP formula is pretty straight; sadistic wardens, lesbian sex, punishment whippings, the mass nude shower scene (never, never forget) and the escape scene in the end does for about 99%. It is a depressive creativity that someone could make an original flick in this formula.

This is a great specimen from 1976 where violence = low and sex = high. In the second half of the movie all prisoners are running around naked, as a punishment from the warden.

Erwin C. Dietrich (producer & director), Monica Swinn and Brigitte Lahaie are the 'golden team' in this sick flick.

Bad Taste

Bad Taste poster for a Dutch Festival Great Fun

I got a part-2 DVD some years ago. So, there must be a part-1 (clever thinking). De Nacht van de Wansmaak (The Night of Bad Taste) was a travelling cinema production from two Belgian guys that collected trailers and scenes of worst-ever B-movies. I was belly-up with laughter the first time (DVD-2) and now again from this one (DVD-1).

All footage is English spoken but the introductions are in Dutch. There you can hear the meticulous research and fact-finding that these Flemish guys have done.

A special treat is that these Belgians (Belgians in general) speak better and wittier Dutch language than the Dutch themselves.
For me (as a native Dutch) it is almost half the fun.

I have seen Flesh Gordon (1974) in my adolescent years (when do they ever end). It is one of the movies covered on the DVD. This is definitely a lot more than a 'poster & trailer' movie.
