Elena Zhornik getting crazy
Iva Nova is an all-female quintet that has been formed in St.Petersburg, Russia in 2002. Introducing: singer Nastya Postnikova, Inna Lishenkevich on guitar, Elena Zhornik on accordion, Ekaterina Grigoryeva on bass, and Katherina Fyodorova on drums. They have been called all kind of names; rock, ska, punk, folk, world-music and the lot.
Their music is inspired by their native culture. They write original songs, rooted in traditional Russian and Slavic music. It is fast, fun, and very danceable. One of the most exciting things from Russia in quite some time.
