Vanishing Point [1971] is a pretty culty 4-state car chase movie running from Denver [co.] to San Francisco [ca.]. Kowalski is urging to take a white 1971 Dodge Challenger RT home and violating some speed limits; going from bad to better.
The first 4 minutes [22MB.] already grab you by the balls; they tell you the beginning of the end.

"don't miss a second because everything happens fast; the chase - the desert - the shack - the girl - the roadblock - the end!"
Nice to know; Quentin Tarantino quoted this movie extensively in the second half of his 2007 "Death Proof" movie [also with the white Challenger].
