The Dixie Chicks sparked a political controversy in March 2003 when Natalie Maines stated: "Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas".
Besides that they are brave liberals, they are great looking chicks and they make award-winning folk/rock music.
