This guy just popped up from my lower brain cells. There was a [1974] movie about him with Dustin Hoffman. Lenny Bruce [1925-1966] was one of the first/best USA stand-up comedians and he had a lot of black jokes about religion and sex - that is absolutely taboo today in the USA. Lenny got arrested 9 times and convicted 2 times for word-crimes. A small documentary here and a great performance there.
