Trailers

movie poster

Almost always, movie trailers (and movie posters) are all you need. The full movie can be disappointing. You can find many trailers on the tube. Robert Rodriguez' Machete trailer (Grindhouse) is iconic, because there never was a movie (yet).
- the Machete trailer from the tube.

There are many exceptions. Try to get a full John Woo movie. He is super-violent and super-intelligent, a great combination. Here is his "Just Heroes" trailer.

Some more great & crazy trailers;
- The King Kong vs. Godzilla trailer from 1962 in b&w.
- Sicky, Nazi, Sleazy Nicholas Cage as Fu-Manchu?
- Dead or Alive intro, actually the first 5 minutes of the movie.

So, the good news is, that movie-trailers are becoming an art on it's own without making the actual movie. And that is a good thing. As a producer you don't want to spend your money on this movie.

Enjoy

one
two
one, two, three, four

(heavy Japanese accent)
