Dutch
(Sorry, Dutch again). Another super Dutch song from the early 1960's. Heleentje van Capelle was lead singer of 'De Leidse Sleuteltjes', a famous youth choir from the Dutch city of Leiden. They had some stiff competition with the Amsterdam choir 'De Damrakkertjes'.
- The DR's did the 1958 original Dikkertje Dap song.
- Heleentje did the Speeltuin song.
Some pre-war Dutch songs were even better;
- Flip De Fluiter was from The Ramblers (1939)
- De Olieman is from Louis Davids (1937).
He was a great Dutch text wizzard, Louis did some Rap in his days;
- Zomer Telegrammen
Enjoy
