Davids
(sorry, Dutch again). Louis Davids [18xx-19xx] was a famous Dutch Singer-Songwriter-Performer in the late 1930's. You should hear his 'Zomer Telegrammen' (Summer Telegrams). It is in Dutch language, but it sounds like a rap-poetry from 1937.
Louis Davids was otherwise pretty conventional and non-confrontational in his songs texts. He did a lot of great We-Dutch-Are-Happy-Cool songs. This is not te be taken as Dutch Nationalism; there was no globalisation in the 1930's.
The arty part is the Dutch song texts. Louis was a Dutch language wizzard. You must be a Dutch Languge Freak to appreciate his amazing song-texts. The 'Summer Telegrams' has an internationl sound. (mind you, these are sounds from the 1935's);
Summer Telegrams = LD Rap from the 1930's
Naar de Bollen = Raunchy Dutch Language from the 1930's
The Ford Car = Ultimate Famous Song
Only for Dutch speaks;
Als jullie meer links hebben naar Louis Davids; die wil ik heel graag hebben;
Maar Ik Heb Jou
Enjoy, Geniet
