In 1999 Ivan Shapovalov and Alexander Voitinskyi were the great geniuses behind this Russian Lolita-Lesbian designer duo from St.Petersbug, Russia. I blogged them before and talked kinda cheap about these girls. I cincerely make my apologize to Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova. Tatu is now a top Russian act with a definite fingerprint.
They make very danceable and professional disco music. The girls are also marketing a kinky lesbian style image that is going much further than Madonna and Britney. In their vids and marketing they show nudity and - in their latest clip - even an execution of a pregnant women [Viktoria Pavlovna Volkova was born on 23 September 2004].
Their performances and music vids are lezbian/sexy [with some nudity] but they also have some social comments. They seem to mix private and public; and that is so very different from the western style papparazziacs. Don't talk cheap about these girls, this is the new Russia.
