First of all, a Happy New Year to all of you. This last blog of 2009 is all about sex. I just found this classy 3CD movie from 2008. They need a lot of words to explain why this is not porn - it is about ‘real’ passionate sex between a man and a woman. I think it is ‘just’ classy porn – recommended – and all very wankable.

Synopsis:
Usually in straight porn, we cut right into a deep-throat blowjob given by a overly made-up girl in 6-inch heels, then the pumped up male figure proceeds to fuck the shit out of her like she’s an animal, as she screams and pretends to enjoy herself. It is void of intimacy, it is a cold, mechanical and empty performance.

We wanted to smash through this convention and make something totally new, taking what we’ve been doing with lesbian erotica and applying it to straight sex scenes. The girls had to be loved, worshipped and caressed, the feelings and ardour shared between the man and the woman had to be real, as did the orgasms. We let the girls choose their partner, and then we stepped back and allowed them the freedom to love each other naturally. Sylvia Lauren, Mya Diamond, Lucky, Trisha Brill, Leana Sweet, Jo, James Brosman, Ricardo Bell and Tristan Segal are the stars in this production.

Sato Hisayasu (or Hisayasu Sato) is a Japanese director who did about 50 movies. We westerners would think of it as gory sex and sleazy violence. But that is probably not the most respectful way to approach my Japanese friend.

I warned you before – Japanese sex can be as kinky as USA Hollywood violence. Here are two 30:00 min. interviews from 2006 (with English subtitles) that shed some light on Sato’s motives. All four RS parts are about 100 MB. each.

De Kjoe Sickstie Faif in November 1966

Q65 (1965-1968) was one of the most remarkable raw-blues-rock bands ever in the Netherlands. They made a come-back in 1970-1974 and were from The Hague. Around the mid-sixties all the action was happening in Amsterdam. Also because of their short life, they did not had the exposure they deserved. Q65 re-grouped in 1980 for the “Haagse Beatnach” special event.

In their 13+ min. “Bring It On Home” masterpiece you can hear;

Silip is from 1985

I should re-write this blog. In the beginning it looked like a sleazer.
In the end it gets mythical proportions.

I like to think that the title refers to all the pretty girls that are running around in this movie in cheap white dresses without wearing a slip. But it is not that simple.

If it wasn’t for the Chicago Film Festival (where it caused an outrage) you would think it was just another mid eighties sick sexy sleazer from the Philippines. And maybe it is. On the other hand (after my third beer) it made my eyes wet because of the crazy love story between Tonya and Simon. Mixed feelings all over, and that is what good movie making is all about.

The film stars former Miss Philippines, Maria Isabel Lopez (as Tonya). In the remote countryside of Ilongo, the story tells of three young women and their struggle to come to terms with their (animal) sexuality against a background of religious fanaticism.

‘Silent Lips’ could be another depiction - as a denial of female sexual feelings. This movie has more than Art House quality. An Alejandro Jodorowsky reference in its anti-religious over-tones.

Tonya is the village priestess and she has a crush on Simon, the village stud and butcher. He fucks every flesh that comes near him. Tonya teaches her pupils that the devil comes disguised as a man ‘with horns down there’. But she (weakness of the flesh) gets a spasm now and then from a hormone overflow. Then she rubs her pussy with salt or hot sand.

Tonya is a frantic religious teacher and the villagers become fed up with her. In one of the later scenes she washes her pussy with the water from the sea, but that is too late. Don't be surprised about the violent ending of this movie.

Simon is slaying a water buffalo in the opening scene. In the end Simon is decapitated by a crowd of kids. And then Tonya is gang-raped and burned as a witch. All pretty graphic and disturbing footage - but God has the power to forgive, Amen.

The heavyweight championship fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman held in 1973 in Zaire (former Congo). The title refers to the time when Black People were Kings and Queens in Africa.

The Night of the Demon (aka The Curse of the Demon ) is a B&W horror movie from 1957. It was approved for posting by the art director of this blog for its classy B&W style. At the same time that Ingmar Bergman’s “The Seventh Seal” was introduced for the art house existentialist audiences, B-movie veteran Jacques Tourneur’s entry into another 50s genre, the monster movie, tapped as potently into humankind’s fear of the dark unknown.

American psychologist Dana Andrews investigates the death of a colleague possibly involving a British devil-cult leader, erupting in a Hegelian death-struggle between rationality and occultism; the outcome emerges when one side acknowledges the power of the other if only to turn it against him.

Tourner’s cinema embodies the best of both worlds, utilizing an impressive repertoire of scare techniques – from shock close-ups to long tracking shots shrouded in smoke and shadow; from disorienting geometries achieved through camera and editing to blunt, explicit imagery – in the service of genuine inquiry into the nature of man’s relationship with the supernatural. The results leave a lingering chill, even with Tourneur’s compromise to his producer by, instead of his preferred tactic of perpetual concealment, having to present the titular demon outright (a literalizing of the film’s central concept that’s as egregious as Bergman’s chess-playing Death). The film is perhaps never so unnerving as when it envisions evil in the simplest terms: a storm that descends with sudden implacable force on a children’s party; a slip of paper flapping relentlessly against a fire grate towards its own incineration; a man stumbling down railroad tracks, literally chasing after his life in vain.

Turks Fruit (Turkish Delight) from 1973 is voted as the best Dutch movie of the previous century. Turkish Delight is the name for the candy Olga gets from Eric on her hospital bed. The story is from a novel by famous Dutch writer & sculptor Jan Wolkers .

This is an early movie from director Paul ‘Robocop’ Verhoeven . Monique van de Ven (as Olga) is still a sexy and engaged celeb here in the Netherlands. Rutger ‘Blade Runner’ Hauer (as Eric) does a great job as the Jan Wolkers proxy.

The movie is about an exuberant and crazy love story. But then, first her father and then Olga get struck by this nasty affliction.

I’m not sure this is the full movie. I can’t find some ‘father’ scenes. There was a nasty scene where the dying father (Wim van den Brink) was in a late state and dripping fluids into some pans under his bed. A better scene was the father in his chair, enjoying some of his favorite classical music. I think it was ‘Einzug der Gladiatoren’.

Oh boy - what a great hobby this is. In 'All Movie Guide', Jason Buchanan wrote about this film: “A police raid on a roadhouse leads to a war on vice that results in the downfall of a vicious gangster and the sadistic madam who runs his prostitution ring in this sordid crime drama from director Elmer Clifton. Young Tete gets some milk

A film festival prize winner. A Spanish (Catalan) movie that just made me cry for joy. The story is about 10+ yo. Tete who has a tits and milk problem, because he didn’t got that from his mother. He is stalking beautiful Esterellita for her milk and tits; she is a sexy dark-haired gypsy nymphomaniac from France.

I stick to all the .mp3 formats for my daily music. But for exceptional and classical music the .flac format is my choice; put up the volume and your headphone.

This site has many more to offer. Their HQ music (in several styles) is an amazing treat.

The .ogg format is about the same as the .flac format and also plays fine in my WinAmp player. The .ape format is also an uncompressed music format, but does NOT play in my favorite player. Oh well, different styles, many smiles.

One of my secret hobbies is about “Worst Movies Ever”. And I have some great help from Hartmut. Some movies are so bad, that they become great and culty, even iconic. This is super silly rare Italian trash from 1970 - but the film became only noticed when it was released in Germany.

The story is about an all-male tribe in the stone-age that is looking for better territory. They arrive in their land of milk-and-honey, where they find many new animals - camels, frogs and . . . women.

Hendrick Avercamp – Dutch Winter Scene on a Canal – 1585

Avercamp spent most of his life in the small quiet town of Kampen on the eastern shore of the Zuider Zee (now IJsselmeer). Residence relatively far from the principal artistic centre of the Netherlands helps to explain why this artist, who discovered the pictorial qualities of flat landscapes and was the first to specialize in winter scenes of outdoor sport and leisure, had little influence on the development of Dutch landscape paintings.
Avercamp's pictures peopled with motley crowds of all ages and classes skating, sledging, golfing, and fishing on the frozen canals of Holland fascinate social historians as well as art historians. The latter sometimes find him a troublesome painter, because it is difficult to trace his development. The plain fact seems to be that he did not have a marked one. From the very beginning he could paint a landscape with a high horizon, a great accumulation of detail, and a number of light colors, or one with a low horizon, few details, and vivid colors in the foreground which lighten as they recede to the distance. The two possibilities existed simultaneously and could be used at will until the end of his career, depending on either the artist's, or his patron's predilections.

Johnny Halliday is a super star rocker from France. I had him on my radar for years. It was 12 years ago on Corsica when I asked for his music. But that was not done. Well, Corsica is a hip place.
He is now recovering from a medical treatment. The whole of France (and me) is involved in his story.

Snowwhite and the Seven Dwarfs is a great classic for the Christmas days. It also has an unusually high perv level for a comic movie (or is it just me). A fan posted the whole movie on the tube. It comes in about 8 x 10:00 min. parts and it’s Dutch spoken.

You should play the tubes and do some serious work. Then you will appreciate the music better; nasty-villain is hunting beautiful-girl, especially in part 1. This is a slick flick.

The Demon in Miss Jones is from 1970

The Demon in Miss Jones has it all, my friends - gore, sex (both gay and straight), necrophilia, incest - everything that a true sleaze fan wants from a classic trash film. The title obviously refers to The Devil in Miss Jones, another famous porn cult.

TDIMJ is a completely bizarre horror/porn entry that is equal parts cheesy H.G. Lewis-style blood-bath, and hardcore porn feature. Everything in the film is completely laughable so it's hard to take any of the sleazy going's-on too seriously, but I still credit the director for trying. Apparently, this film is quite rare as it never became popular (I wonder why) and was never given any wide spread distribution.

I have to say - if you're a fan of ultra-sleazy sex films, go ahead and download this one. One of the better horror/gore/porn films of the era - if you dig stuff like HARDGORE and HOUSE OF DE SADE, or bizarre porn hybrids like THUNDERCRACK, you'll probably be digging this one too. Sex Psycho also known as The Demon in Miss Jones, Widow Blue.

A fan wrote;

“Scummy, twisted, degenerate and all the better for it, this long lost X rated wonder from the good ol' year of 1970 was the brainchild of one Walt Davis. At the close of the Sixties Davis had directed several minor soft-core movies, however in the early Seventies Davis developed a kink for mixing sordid sexploitation with Herschell Gordon Lewis brand of gore slaughter which manifested itself in two supremely shocking features. The other is the outlandish Evil Come, Evil Go (1972) a gruesome tale of Sister Sarah Jane Butler, who butchers `love generation men' in LA to the theme song of `Sarah Jane, Sarah Jane you're insane'. Whereas Evil Come, Evil Go cleaned up, the earlier Sex Psycho fared less well- it was simply deemed unreleasable, never showing up anywhere either on video or the cinemas. Even the efforts of the producer (Cuban born sex film pioneer Manuel S. Conde) and a change of title to the more X friendly Widow Blue, all proved in vain. The Sex Psycho of the title and our hero of the piece, if he could be called that is Nick (Mike Haven- the cat burglar from Al Adamson's Brain of Blood) a pudgy faced average Joe who taunts and ridicules his sloppy wife (Sandy Demsey) over her coke-bottle glasses and natty blonde wig. A marriage made in hell, he's a sexist pig who complains about her burnt cooking, while she threatens to run back to her mothers whenever he says boo. Despite his low opinion of his wife's sex appeal, Nick is convinced that someone out there finds her attractive, especially when he overhears her talking to her lover on the phone. Enraged, Nick promptly goes out and buys a large meat cleaver, then takes to fondling it in his car with a look in his eyes that suggests he has more on his mind than cutting cake with it. Oddly his other half isn't the intended victim, instead Nick speeds over to his mistress Eva Blue, only to find Eva's bi-sexual husband Jerry Blue (played by none other than the director himself) getting under the sheets with Eva's brother Marshall. Egged on by Eva and helped by Marshall, Nick sinks the cleaver deep into Jerry's neck. Things become even more vomitious when the whacked out Eva Blue drags Nick onto the bed for some post-homicide heavy petting despite Jerry's dead body providing interruption `Don't worry about him, he's dead, dead, dead'. Dim Marshall is suitably horrified but agrees to hide the body in a big, black coffin, yet again though libidos provide a distraction. When the three Sex Psychos finally remember they have a corpse to dispose of a pair of Jerry's swinger pals Ron and Sarah show up and (only slightly fazed by the big black coffin in the middle of the room) quickly turn the place into a suburban swingers party!! Well remember this is the Seventies and only then could a scriptwriter get away with the line that comes from the ubiquitous John Holmes `we're all 21 and responsible citizens, so let's just take off our clothes and get it on right here'. Despite Holmes alarming presence, Davis reserves the freakiest moment for the completely basket case climax that leaves Eva screaming her guts out, Nick bleeding to death holding on to a bloody stump and his wife choking to death. Not without credence is the legend that a single showing in the dawn of the Seventies had potential buyers running from the theatre as if the Blob had invaded. What distinguishes Sex Psycho from typical XXX movie house fare, sealed its commercial fate. If the extreme gore didn't get to them, the scenes with Davis and friend would have had dirty mack dwellers deeply suspicious that they had gone to the wrong theatre. Davis evidently saw allot wrong with the world, Evil Come, Evil Go takes several pot-shots at religious fanaticism while Sex Psycho sees the world behind every picket fence as a cocktail of violence, insanity and false morality. Even so for their grim storylines and messages Davis's features remain cartoonish over the top and always on the very dark side of black humor. His Sex Psycho script is so mockingly vulgar as to bring laughs to the most morbid melodrama, also hilariously jarring is his taste in music with demented organ music and liberal uses of the theme from The French Connection and Night on Bald Mountain. A personification of the skinny, ear muff side burned, long haired LA freak that every conservative feared, little is known about writer/ director/ erst-while Mr. Jerry Blue and all round enfant terrible Walt Davis- other than the movies. Soon after getting Sex Psycho and Evil Come, Evil Go out of his system Davis wrote his way into obscurity, his last known credit was a script for Deep Jaws a film made in 1976 by Manuel Conde. Today Sex Psycho is best viewed as the black sheep never invited even to the table of the most extreme films from America's most extreme era and most extreme medium. Too much for audiences of the day, its still not for everyone but if you're looking for something unique, especially outrageous and with the explicit sex and death that comes with Seventies excess then Walt Davis is your man.”

Dutch Andre Rieu is underestimated all the time. He tours the world with a 500+ crew. I was always a secret fan. Now he (slowly) gets the Dutch attention that he deserves. Andre is doing some concerts in his southern homeland (Netherlands, Maastricht).

You should notice his great/big production and making all these Italian girls crazy with his music. The final moments are very nice.
I think I’m going to buy a 200 Euro ticket for his next show.

Early Patricia Paay – sexy showing off

Patricia Paay is a Dutch ex-socialite, ex-singster and ex-starlet, de-re-friended by many, lifted-up and put-down. Now, let’s forget the ‘ex-‘ for a moment. She took her body to the shop and she is now probably the eldest Playboy Bunny ever. At 60 yo. she is on the cover of the next Dutch Christmas Playboy. It sounds so pathetic (and it is) butt on the other hand so very Dutch (anything goes). Local talk show tigers are hailing and breaking her. I’m just flabbergasted by this girl. It remembered me of one of her first songs, when we were both in our late teens. It is from ages ago. Probably we both never left the adolescent phase.

Her page-3 reputation got stronger in time. But we should not forget her original songs that can be really very catchy (sorry all in Dutch);

Sleaze

I promised you sleaze a few blogs ago. So here it is. I can’t think of anything sleazier like this. Two Italian wip-flicks (Woman In Prison) from the mid 1980’s with Euro Cult transsexual Ajita Wilson. She did more stuff like this, like Sadomania (1984) with Jess Franco.

The director for both movies is Gianni Siragusa. He is not as famous as some other “Sultans of Sleaze” but he did a great job here.

Rita Moreno in West Side Story (1961)

You have seen the Maria scene about 2 blogs ago. It was from the 1961 movie with Nathalie Wood (as Maria). That triggered me to post some more candies. Some fan posted all or most of the scenes of this movie on the Tube. It got 10 Oscars.

I’m not sure the sequence is right but they are all about hot and romantic music. This is the Romeo (Tony) and Juliet (Maria) theme, about an impossible love. Leonard Bernstein is the USA composer and he put the story into The Sharks and The Jets in the 1950’s New York.

The original production is from 1957, the movie is from 1961. Those were the early R&R and Elvis Presley days. I think it’s utterly brilliant how Leonard Bernstein captured this 1950’s mood. But then, I’m a terminal romantic.

Never ever web news can replace serious journalism, despite Rupert Murdoch’s efforts to block Google news. Those are all cheep thrills compared to The New Yorker. May I introduce you to This Magazine? This is the Icon of Educated Intellectuals, not only in New York. Even here in Amsterdam I sometimes buy a copy from the central station bookshop. Their website is also wonderful. Pulitzer Prize Winner Seymour Hersh has some serious stories each year and that is my reason for The New Yorker.

[oops, remembers me of High Noon]. “The Wild Bunch” is from director Sam Packinpah (1969) and is an iconic Western. It was his super-violent answer to spaghetti westerns (not bad too).
