Jewels

sexy Joan Crawford in the 1930's

I just came around this movie; and it made me drip. "The Stolen Jools" is a short comedy film made in 1931. It features many appearances by the most famous film stars of the day. They appeared to help raise funds for the National Variety Artists tuberculosis sanitarium. This film is also known as "The Slippery Pearls".

If you enjoy, and know a bit about classic film of the 1930's, and if you appreciate many of those fine ladies and gentlemen that appeared on the screen at that time, you will likely be entertained by this short movie.

It's great fun to see actors and actresses from different studios working together; maybe that was the point of "The Stolen Jools". Many familiar faces and voices, and everyone somehow involved in this goofy mystery. A worthwhile twenty minutes of amusement.
