Cannes
And the winner is ... [not known yet]. I admit, I haven't seen one of the movies, but you can get a fair impression from other sources.
Lars Von Trier's Antichrist split the critcs in hefty positive and negative reactions (so he won't win). But it's the best reason to watch out for this film. Lars made this film during a period of depression.
I guess all great artists must be psycho in some way. Lars already won a Golden Palm in 2000 with his 'Dancer in the Dark'.
Chairwoman of this year's jury is 'cool' (ijskonijn) Isabelle Huppert.
I was stoned in love with her 30 years ago, when she still had freckles. Look at this great Isabelle movie.
Maybe (also very 'ijskonijn') Catherine Deneuve is the connection between Isabelle and Lars; Catherine played in the 'Dancer' and is also a former Cannes Chairwoman.

Lars Von Trier's [2000] 'Dancer in the Dark', with Björk and Catherine as Selma and Gean, two factory workers who are good friends but have very different lives.
Selma has emigrated with her son from Central Europe to America. The year is 1964. Selma works day and night to save her son from the same disease she suffers from, a disease that inevitably will make her blind. But Selma has the energy to live because of her secret; she loves musicals. When life feels tough she can pretend that she is in the wonderful world of musicals; just for some short moments. All happiness in life will not give her the things she is looking for ...
The film comes in about 8x100MB. parts and a .sfv file;

Thanks!
I really love those weird Danish movies. Thomas Vinterberg made the best: Festen.

Note that the dl links there are "not good" and the audio seems to be french. Luckily I have Festen on DVD - when I ever find a way to rip that, I will up it.
BINGO!
I found Festen here:

(all rars still available)
I would like to see 'Festen' in a straight 700MB. .avi format.
It is an iconic 'dogma' film, that I would like to have on my blog.
I hope to hear from you.
