RoadRat got me some links to the 1875 Carmen opera from George Bizet. I like this one, because the story is around the cigarette-factory of Sevilla, Spain ... LOL. On the other hand, the story is about fatal and deadly love [as all opera's are]. This is great music to get people introduced into opera - thank you RoadRat.You surely recognize this splattering intro [sometimes called ouverture]
