Spring
Le Sacre du Printemps [The Rite of Spring, 1913] is just an awfull piece of horny music - and I'm not talking yet about all the sexy ballets performed with this music.
Igor Stravinsky composed this music for ballet impresario Sergei Diaghilev in 1912/1913. It was major mayhem when it was first performed on May 29, 1913 at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris [the public was outraged].
Some haunting sounds from the first "Adoration" part;

This is a good [1983,DDD] recording by Leonard Bernstein and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra [36MB.];
