Muvrini

I Muvrini is a Corsican folk music group who sing traditional Corsican music in their native Corsican language. Corsica is a Mediterranean island [Island of Beauty] south of, and part of France. It's native language has North-African and Italian influences. I Muvrini has a little official site with a nice music clip.

More information at wiki. Their album A Strada from 2000 is about 70MB. A typical sample song from this album.

More traditional Corsican music is the Polyphonic song (pulifunie, a 4-6 voice a cappella style). They can be either spiritual or secular. Funeral songs (lamentu) are an example of the former, while nanna (lullabies) is an example of secular songs.

More information at wiki. The album Polyphoniques Corses is about 45MB. and has four tracks of I Muvrini. A first song of this album is from them.

Enjoy
