Bamboo
Japanese WWII POW camp around 1943
The Bamboo House of Dolls [1973] is one of the most notorious WIP flicks in its genre. I blogged it a long time ago, but it seems some old links are not active anymore. There is a a German trailer on the tube.
The "World of Exploitation Films" called it "the ultimate chain-gang kung-fu caper flick". And another leading cult movie website dubbed it: "a great piece of Hong Kong filth that just can't be beaten".
Some special attention for Chinese born director Chih-Hung Kwei [1937-1999], Indonasian born martial arts hero Lieh Lo [1939-2002] and [1945] Danish born sex kitten Birte Tove.
This ME version looks like the 107 min. uncut version, good quality, Mandarin language with English subtitle file [not checked].
