Babes

from left to right; Esther Dee (soprano), Emily Alice Ovenden (soprano, concertina, percussion), Claire Rabbitt (contralto, piano ), Bev Lee Harling (alto, violin, citern, guitar), Melpomeni (mezzo soprano, piano), Katharine Blake (contralto, violin, piano)

Six Stunning Babes and even greater music that grab you by the balls (or by the tits). What more do you need to make Uncle happy. I fooled around with Nephew who picks his singers by their looks, but this morning I found myself on my knees for these girls. I posted them some time ago. They were with seven then (sometimes more) but the links are dead now. This is a re-blog of some of their works.

Besides and on top of that they are a bunch of great looking beauties, they are very professional musicians too. They play traditional medieval songs & poetry set to music in a variety of languages, including Latin, Middle English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Welsh, Irish Gaelic, modern English and the nearly extinct Cornish (from UK Cornwal). Their vocals are backed by medieval instruments, by themselves or by fellow musicians.

- La Volta sounds like dancing
- Musa Venit Carmine sounds like Latin angels
