Oomph! started in Wolfsburg, Germany (west) in 1989

Oomph! is a German metal band with some crazy shocking songs. [language is 50/50 German/English]. They are considered to be the original Neue Deutsche Härte [NDH] band. Rammstein [the German site of the flight show disaster on 28 August 1988] is probably the best known NDH band. The Oomph! song 'Hello, My Name is Cancer' (from 'Defekt') says it all;

'why aren't you playing with your friends?'
'they are all dead'
