First of all, a Happy New Year to all of you. This last blog of 2009 is all about sex. I just found this classy 3CD movie from 2008. It is void of intimacy, it is a cold, mechanical and empty performance.

Sato Hisayasu (or Hisayasu Sato) is a Japanese director who did about 50 movies. We westerners would think of it as gory sex and sleazy violence. But that is probably not the most respectful way to approach my Japanese friend.

I warned you before – Japanese sex can be as kinky as USA Hollywood violence. Here are two 30:00 min. interviews from 2006 (with English subtitles) that shed some light on Sato’s motives. All four RS parts are about 100 MB. each.

De Kjoe Sickstie Faif in November 1966

Q65 (1965-1968) was one of the most remarkable raw-blues-rock bands ever in the Netherlands. They made a come-back in 1970-1974 and were from The Hague. Around the mid-sixties all the action was happening in Amsterdam. Also because of their short life, they did not had the exposure they deserved. Q65 re-grouped in 1980 for the “Haagse Beatnach” special event.

In their 13+ min. “Bring It On Home” masterpiece you can hear;

Silip is from 1985

I should re-write this blog. In the beginning it looked like a sleazer.
In the end it gets mythical proportions.

I like to think that the title refers to all the pretty girls that are running around in this movie in cheap white dresses without wearing a slip. But it is not that simple.

If it wasn’t for the Chicago Film Festival (where it caused an outrage) you would think it was just another mid eighties sick sexy sleazer from the Philippines. And maybe it is. On the other hand (after my third beer) it made my eyes wet because of the crazy love story between Tonya and Simon. Mixed feelings all over, and that is what good movie making is all about.

The film stars former Miss Philippines, Maria Isabel Lopez (as Tonya). In the remote countryside of Ilongo, the story tells of three young women and their struggle to come to terms with their (animal) sexuality against a background of religious fanaticism.

‘Silent Lips’ could be another depiction - as a denial of female sexual feelings. This movie has more than Art House quality. An Alejandro Jodorowsky reference in its anti-religious over-tones.

Tonya is the village priestess and she has a crush on Simon, the village stud and butcher. He fucks every flesh that comes near him. Tonya teaches her pupils that the devil comes disguised as a man ‘with horns down there’. But she (weakness of the flesh) gets a spasm now and then from a hormone overflow. Then she rubs her pussy with salt or hot sand.

Tonya is a frantic religious teacher and the villagers become fed up with her. In one of the later scenes she washes her pussy with the water from the sea, but that is too late. Don't be surprised about the violent ending of this movie.

Simon is slaying a water buffalo in the opening scene. In the end Simon is decapitated by a crowd of kids. And then Tonya is gang-raped and burned as a witch. All pretty graphic and disturbing footage - but God has the power to forgive, Amen.

The heavyweight championship fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman held in 1973 in Zaire (former Congo). The title refers to the time when Black People were Kings and Queens in Africa.
